Sarah Townsend, MA, LMFT
One of the keys to therapeutic success lies in the foundation of the relationship between therapist and client.

Hi. I'm Sarah. Thank you for considering working with me. The following is a bit about who I am professionally and personally.

- My counseling style is guided by values of authenticity, compassion, and humor. I believe that work done in therapy is courageous and I feel honored to be a part of each client's therapeutic process.

- I believe that our relationships are the foundation of what gives life meaning. Struggles in these relationships (or in forming them) are often a source of pain and loneliness. I am passionate about helping individuals and couples create and develop more worthwhile, connected relationships.

- I received my Masters Degree in Psychology from Antioch University in 2014. Prior to opening my private practice, I worked in community mental health, fine dining, and as a 2nd grade teacher in East New York.

- Outside of my private practice, I enjoy cooking, reading, playing tennis, arranging flowers, and cheering on the Seattle Mariners (This year's the year!).
